Revolutionary Laminate

Many of our (potential) customers are looking for an ecological, safe and, at the same time, cost-efficient alternative to the classic laminate tube.

Together with our suppliers, we devised an innovative approach to produce our laminate tubes in a sustainable and eco-friendly process, to the highest standards and at attractive prices. The key factor for this is the raw material for the tube body, the so-called "R-Laminate".

Hre is a short description of the material:

25 – 48% less raw materials are used for the production of R-Laminate than for a conventional laminate. A large proportion of the laminate consists of BOPP films. BOPP (=Biaxially-Oriented Polypropylene, see diagram) demonstrates a unique combination of characteristics such as strength, transparency, sealability and barrier properties.

The sustainable and eco-friendly production of the tubes is mainly assured through the significant reduction in the amount of raw materials used. The production of 20 million m² R-Laminate, for example, requires about 27 tons less wood for the construction of pallets (for transportation and storage of the laminate) than in the case of conventional laminates.

Due to the lower freight volume, the R-Laminate also causes less traffic. For 20 million m² laminate, up to 1,600 tons of laminate raw materials are saved. This corresponds to more than 60 full truck loads.

In addition, the use of R-Laminate results in further advantages such as the absorption reduction of olfactive and taste-active ingredients, as well as freight and storage costs which are in some cases substantially lower.
